Thouron prize

DEFINITION

Established in 1960 by Sir John R. H. Thouron, and Esther du Pont Thouron, the goal was to strengthen the special relationship between the U.S. and United Kingdom through student exchanges between British Universities and the University of Pennsylvania. Since that time, more than 650 students have been funded for two years. The Thouron family remains very involved and issues and invitation to each recipient to visit them personally in their homes.
