Rotogravure

DEFINITION

An intaglio printmaking process, meaning incised upon a surface, it is a method of engraving an image onto a cylinder rather than a flat surface. The image is then delivered by a rotary printing press, a method developed in the 19th century and occasionally used in the 21st century. Printmakers using this process included Frederick Humpal, Herndon Davis and Jacob Kainen. Source: Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotogravure
