Philadelphia art alliance

DEFINITION

Located in Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia, and founded in 1915, it is ongoing and is "the oldest multidisciplinary arts center in the United States for visual, literary and performing arts." The PAA is housed in the Wetherill mansion, home of founder Christine Wetherill Steventon, a theater enthusiast and philanthropist.
