DEFINITION

Formerly named Paier School of Art, it is a four-year school in Hamden Connecticut near New Haven. In 1946 Edward and Adele Paier founded the school with the name Paier School of Applied Arts, and in 1982, it received a charter and accreditation to offer a four-year Bachelor of Arts degree in fine arts, graphic design, illustration, interior design and photography.
