Ogive ogival

An ogive is a diagonal rib of a Gothic vault, or it's a Gothic (pointed or lancet) arch. Ogival is the adjectival form of the word, often used in reference to arches of this style.(pr. OH-ji:v)The adjectival form is ogival. (pr. OH-jə-vəl)
