Landon school of illustration and cartooning
DEFINITION
A mail-order correspondence course "that trained a generation of famous cartoonists in drawing for publication, it was founded in 1909 by Charles N. Landon and lasted until his death in 1936. He managed the Art Department of "The Cleveland Press" from 1900 to 1912, and then was Art Director of the NEA syndicate.
