Dry mount

A two-dimensional work such as a photograph or print, it is attached to cardboard backing with a thin sheet of tissue placed between the paper and the mount. The Dry Mount is secured by being touched quickly with an electronically heated Tacking Iron, which makes it thoroughly bound with the application of heat and pressure called a Dry Mount Press.
