Clark collection

DEFINITION

Begun in the late 20th Century by Thomas Clark with an oil sketch by Irving Ramsey Wiles, it is a collection focused on pre-1940 Impressionist work. Clark, from upstate New York, has bequeathed the artwork to The Hyde Collection Museum. Among the represented artists are Harry Aiken Vincent, Aldro Thompson Hibbard, Walter Emerson Baum, and Anne Ramsdell Congdon.
