Canvas board

DEFINITION

Cardboard or pasteboard, which has been primed so it is ready to receive oil paint. It is cheap, handy because it is sold in stock sizes, and portable for outdoor sketching, but not recommended for paintings intended to last a long time. Canvas board is good practice material for beginning and/or quick-sketching artists.
