Arcosanti

An experimental town begun in 1970, it is located in Arizona near Cordes Junction and is an ongoing development designed by architect Paolo Soleri. Adhering to a concept he calls "arcology", the site is a demonstration of urban living in town of about 5000 population with minimal environmental impact.
